What am I paying for?

I have the basic 450 minutes, data is a rape at $1.99/mb which is awful and I wanted unlimited text. $59.99/mo, right? My last two bills were $80 and $95 for one of their most basic plans. I used only about half of my minutes so there were no overages. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR!?!?!?!
