for future reference make a copy of EVERYTHING you would send in an envelope to claim a rebate and send that entire copied set to yourself by REGISTERED mail.
DO NOT open the registered mail copy until you are in small claims court
you can inexpensively FORCE companies to honor rebates with this process
bring to small claims court
(1) your filing fee -- when you win it will be refunded
(2) copy of the promotional material advertizing the rebate and it's terms
(3) the NOT-openned copy mailed to yourself as PROOF you did send in the required rebate components
(4) again, do NOT open the letter you sent yourself until directed by the judge
