I've been a Verizon smartphone customer for ages, so you know I pay a lot each month. I even purchased Asurion insurance for $6.99/m, no, make that $7.99/mo, so that I could get a replacement of my phone if it was lost, stolen, etc.
Well a button is broken, so I went to my local store, and they said the would replace the phone. The deductible is $99, but the phone, a Palm Pre, is worth about $60. I was not happy. The rep Andrew gave me this line about the phone being worth $600 so I was getting a good deal by getting a replacement for only $99.
Not happy with him, I left and called Verizon customer service, and got the same line. I could not believe it. I am now ISO a new carrier, because this is the second time I feel Verizon (and now their partner in crime Asurion) have been only after the money in my pocket.Anonymous - Verizon H8er ID: F9832E |

Your phone probably was around 600 dollars at full retail. The only reason you got it at 60 is because you got it at a discounted price for signing an agreement. So yeah, the 99 dollar deductible sounds like a pretty good deal to me, but some people are just ungrateful. And maybe you should actually read documents before you just sign them. Anonymous - Verizon H8er ID: E45A32 |
