| Verizon Robbery without a gun |
I called Verizon and requested set-up of there Fios, internet and telephone service. The verizon rep on the phone scheduled a installer to come to my home between 10-12pm and ask that someone be home. After schedulling time off on my job to be there no one ever showed. I waited until 3pm just in case someone would eventually show and then I called Verizon to see what the status was. At that time the person on the call rudely said that things happen and I would just have to reschedule the installation and take off another day. I immediately said no I don't want the service and to cancel the request. Thr following day I took back the equipment they had mailed me and I thought this episode was over only to recieve a bill for over $300.00 for service that I never got. What is this all about?? How can a verbal contract be binding if the service is never set-up or used.Gary Ove - Verizon H8er ID: 5DDD78 |

| 05/13/11 | 14:43PM | I know anytime someone in our neighborhood has had a Fios install or repair the tech winds up being there the better part of a day. Brand new cable/equipment to our neighborhood too.
I think the company is using a computer based DESIRED job time completion to schedule service. There is no excuse to at least call the customer earlier, this is customer service 101.
And things happen, pffttt, someone's covering for someone. Could be the call center for not calling you.
Keep after them, keep a log and see about getting a credit for inconveinence. I'd tell them if you can work you can't make money to pay them.
Since they didn't install yet I would see about cancelling-without a fee. The local Better Business Bearu might help here since it's only a contract at this point.
