Back in December 2010, I went into a Go Wireless Store in Sedona Arizona and leased a phone for the customary two years. On the contract it said that I have 30 days to cancel the phone if for any reason I didn't like the phone. I returned the phone the very next day and paid a $50 restocking fee. I never heard another word out of Verizon or anyone else. Recently I checked my credit report and found that Verizon reported me to the credit bureau as a delinquent account and subsequently charged off this account. This potentially lowered my credit score. I went into another store only selling Verizon phones, and they gave me the phone number of the Verizon Collections in Minneapolis. I contacted them and faxed to them the page showing that I had cancelled the phone the very next day. The lady who answered said that she will "take care of this matter" Apparently she did not, and the charge off remains on my credit report. Here's what I will do:
1. Go to small claims court and sue Go Wireless for the amount owing on the credit report. After all I took out the phone through them.
2. Write the FCC, even though I don't think that will get me anywhere.
3. Place a claim through the Arizona Attorney General's office.
4. Go to the local TV stations and show them how some American business' operate.
5. Go to the local Phoenix and Sedona newspapers and do the same as above.
If any one has any other ideas, please let me know.
Thank you,
