8830 great phone, but GPS doesn't work in US

Even though they advertise that GPS functionality exists on the 8830 (it does on the phone hardware) the verizon network does not support it in the united state (only worldwide). They are lying in their advertisements that GPS is functionality on this phone.

Also, if you do buy the phone (it is a wonderful phone) get the real manual from Blackberry. The Verizon version has virtually nothing in it.
