I was apparently dumb enough to expect to get what I went to my local VZW store to purchase ( a phone ). I told the salesman I wanted a phone, just a phone, a device to send and receive phone calls, you know, voice transmissions. No web, no text messaging, no ringtone downloads, just a phone. You know a phone, a device to send and ....oops, sorry! I should have repeated myself in the store, however. I didn't find out that these features were active until the first bill came, and it was only via the customer service center that I found out that these "features" could be disabled. So, a word of warning. If you want a phone, it will take a serious effort to get one, because these sales guys love to cha-ching the web services onto your bill. - Verizon H8er ID: C545A9 |
