This week I had the flu and needed to work from home. I use PCAnywhere regularly and usually it works fine. But this week, when I really needed it, I would get knocked off every 2 or 3 minutes. When I called the 'customer service' number, I had to deal with a automated attendant that didn't work very well. Then I (after 1/2 hour) was connected to tech support in India. Needless to say, they couldn't understand me, nor could I understand them. So I explained my issue. I asked if they knew what PCAnywhere was. I heard her typing as she said yes. Obviously, she was looking it up and when I asked, she admitted that she was looking it up (by the way, everyone I talked to after that did the same thing). They told me, after many minutes of useless questions, that my line was fine. After calling again a little later, and much yelling from me (they have trouble listening to me) a supervisor to her supervisor (yeah, right) said that there was a problem and it would be fixed within 24 hours. This call took place on Friday afternoon. Calling back 24 hours later, I was told that verizon techs don't work on the weekends. Now I am told that it wouldn't be fixed before Monday! It wasn't until I told them that I needed to send out an email to a list that included politicians that there was indeed a problem with the central office. I was lied to and frustrated to the point of wanting to get my chain saw out and start cutting down utility poles (maybe it was the flu)!
