| What part of "close my account" don't you understand? |
I canceled my phone and dsl service before moving over a month ago. Now, I get a "final" bill for dsl services up through next week. After going through the DEAF voice menu twice (got disconnected the first time), the rep tells me that my order to cancel "probably" didn't go through in time to be reflected on my bill. I can estimate my final prorated charge myself (dust off that calculator!) and pay that. Will I get a corrected "final" bill? "Probably." When? "I don't know. 2-3 weeks?" Um, I think I'll wait for that bill. I just fear for my credit score in the meantime. Thankful to have moved to non-Verizon territory. - Verizon H8er ID: 22B3FC |

In my case, they canceled my phone but not my DSL. When that finally got fixed, I received a $4.20 credit statement from Verizon. Unfortunately, that was only a DSL bill...my phone still had a $30.17 balance that I did not know anything about - until I got a letter from a collection agency!
