| credit balance goes to a collection agency |
After a ridiculous experience trying to cancel my Verizon phone and DSL, I finally got things canceled and received a credit ($4.20) statement from them. That same week, I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owe Verizon $30.00. I have *perfect* credit which these baffoons are trying to wreck - over a $30 that I may or may not owe! After more than 3 hours on the phone and having various people hang up on me, I am writing this as I wait on hold yet another person. I have been on hold for over 15 minutes.
I hope the people who have these types of experiences report them to the FCC. That is my next stop as I wait on hold.

They not only gave me a hard time about returning my balance they sent it to a collection agency. It is now four years later and I'm still dealing with their nonsense. Whatever you do don't throw anything out, insist all correspondence be written and not on their website unless you can print it out!
