| I was a former manager with Verizon who just got the axe this past friday. Let me tell you the truth....Verizon does not care one bit about its landline customers. I saw it first hand. All they want the technicians to do is go faster. When they go faster the quality of their work suffers and most of all the customer suffers. It's a shame but the company truly does not care about it's customers. They do't even care about it's managers. I had over 20 years of service with that lousy company. | Massachusetts. I hear they are axing more this week. It's a LOUSY company to work for if you are a manager. They treat the Technicians better. I gave many years of service to them and this is how they treat us. Ever since Joe Bucciareli returned from New York it's been horrible. This guy LOVES firing people. its not that they treat tech better at all, the only reason they dont fire us all becuase they signed a contract with the union stating exactly what they can and cant do. im sorry to see u lose your job, i would not wish that on anyone. unfortunatly they first level managers did away with their union a few years back , enticed with better 401k and juicier persion(which was taken away years following anyway. i cant help but wonder if 1rst level managers had not done away wiyh their local if they would be in this predicament.
p.s. i totally agree with you about how customers suffer in the long run because of increased productivity pressures.and if were let go its probably because you were fair and reasonable with your work group, which is not how they (joe b.) want the co. run at all. they keep the misserable ones regardless of time served simple because they can depend on those to make a miserable work environment.people that do nnot have a conscence about firing anyone - Verizon H8er ID: 17DFA2 |
