Verizon has billed my 82 year old mother $297.15 for 92 minutes of international calls to the UK and Ireland.
These same minutes with Comcast would have cost her $7.36. (92 x .08 per minute) I was mistakenly under the impression that Comcast could not provide land line service in her apartment which was why I reluctantly signed her up with Verizon nearly eight months ago.
I am elated to learn from the warm and compassionate woman at Comcast that I can switch.
My mother was without phone service on two separate occasions due to Verizon. When you have an elderly mother living alone it is very frightening to realize that she could not call 911 in the event of an emergency until Verizon could get somebody out sometime "between 8am and 5pm" the next day.
Ivan Seidenberg is the bastard who is the CEO of this criminal company. http://www22.verizon.com/about/community/supplier_diversity/sdpressmessage.html.Are there any lawsuits in process against this swine of a man? If I ever met him, I'd deck him.
Today I used my head and didn't even call the incompetents at Verizon to dispute this $300 thievery and kept my rage to a productive boil. I'll pay the bill--the basic service part, but they'll never get those criminal international rates out of me.
At 82, my mother with her perfect credit, can withstand a minor blemish for non-payment.
I haven't even gone into my own personal experience with this rotten company here and might at some other point in time, but I'm not going to let them rob me of a good mood and an enjoyable day. - Verizon H8er ID: CEDA85 |
