| Cell Phone Party Line |
I use my cell phone frequently to talk with my customers in my small business. A year ago I decided to switch to verizon because I heard they had great coverage. My first bill was very large, but I decided it was a one time event and let it pass. I became concerned when the next two bills were even larger despite the reduced use of my phone. One day I was going to make a call when I noticed two ladies talking on my phone. I said nothing, hoping I could learn what the hell was going on. After they hung up, I called verizon and explained to them what had just happened. I asked them if they could tell me where that last call came from? They said no, I would have to review my bill the following month. The customer service person also explained to me that this kind of thing is just not possible. She said that I must have accidently pressed a button and called someone and that person connected with another to form a 3 way connection. I asked her why someone would do something like that when no one was on the other line? She did not know. I went to the local verizon store and explained my problem. The best they could do is give me a phone number to report cell fraud (I was hoping for a new contract without the party line).I now receive collection notices from chase on a regular basis.

It was the strangest thing that has ever happened to me. I opened up my cell phone to make a call and two men were talking. I spoke and they ceased talking. I waited a few minutes and I opened it up again. Once again they were talking. I have no idea what happened. It didn't happen again. However, I would periodically get unrelated prerecorded messages about "pound pay". The messages would tell me that I needed to deposit money by pound pay. This made no sense to me. I would hang up and dial again without error. Anonymous - Verizon H8er ID: 5C16DB |
